Little Stars
Welcome to Little Stars …
Where every child is a different kind of star, and together they make the world beautifully bright!
What an exciting first term we have had, full of fun and a little bit of mischief! We have loved getting to know one another and discovering our true potential. We didn’t realise we could shine so bright!
We have enjoyed so many wonderful activities in Little Stars so far, from making new friends to discovering different play resources, strengthening our finger muscles with Mario through our RISE NI Pre-writing Skills Programme, and learning all about our core numeracy resource Numicon. We have discovered we love messy play activities the most! Mark making in lentils, shaving foam and flour have been some of our absolute favourites! Not to mention hand and foot painting!
We have had lots of fun taking part in MR Sports PE lessons, exploring the Sensory Room and Forest School Garden and learning new routines. We are getting better at listening, following instructions and tidy-up time – although, we are glad we get more time to practise these skills in Term 2! After all, they say practice makes perfect!
During our first term, we also enjoyed celebrating some special events. These included a Halloween disco, Pudsey Bear visiting our classroom, baking twenty-five Pudsey Bear biscuits for Pudsey Bear’s 25th Birthday, and celebrating Christmas by taking part in our school Christmas Show, doing some class baking and having a little Christmas party. Our very favourite party food was the watermelon Christmas Trees!
What an adventure we have had so far in Little Stars! We can’t wait to create more wonderful memories this term and keep shining bright, like the stars we are! In the meantime, please enjoy some of our class photos.
Miss Emerson, Mrs Beattie and Ms Gray.
