Welcome to the Oak Trees, a fabulous class of P6 and P7 pupils.

We are learning all about 'Rainforests' this term and are looking forward to meeting rainforest animals when Wee Critters visit us.  We spend every day learning together and we are currently reading Holes by Louis Sachar for our class novel.  We cannot wait to find out why on earth boys are digging holes in the desert.  We are focusing on sentence level skills as well as small chunks of writing.

In Numeracy, we have been working with 6-digit numbers and developing our knowledge of decimals and different angles.  We get to choose everyday whether we want to challenge ourselves in our work or if we want to stay in our comfort zone.  We are extremely proud of the artwork that we produce as well as the music and songs we play.  Talking about our emotions and feelings are an important part of our work.
