  • Official Opening of the front entrance

    On Tuesday 15th October Mr John Ball (Deputy Director, CED South, Department for Communities) officially opened our new front entrance and Parent Rooms, along with members of the Board of Governors, EAs representatives and other staff from the Department of Communities, as well as children and staff from the school.

    The Big Bang (Junior Innovators) up at Ulster university, Jordanstown on Monday

    P6 pupils showed off their Bridges project to the judges and had a fantastic time completing various STEM workshops as well as getting a taste of university life!

    Our Eco Committee launched the Big Battery Hunt last week. We have already collected 706 batteries!

    The members of the ECO Committee have been working hard to make progress towards achieving a Bronze Award for the school. We have carried out an Environmental Review and are looking at ways we can make Kilcooley much more ECO friendly.
  • School Council and Sustrans

    As part of our Sustrans programme, the School Council members created a map to show the safe routes to Kilcooley Primary School. They worked well together and produced a super map of the safe routes after walking around the local area and taking note of any dangers. The end product is amazing!!

    Congratulations to the newly elected School Council members for 2018/19.

    After some very persuading manifestos presented to the P4-7 classes, there followed two weeks of hard hitting campaigns for the proposed members of the School Council for this year. We are very proud of everyone who took the time and effort to take part in the election process. The newly elected members were presented with their badges and certificates in Assembly.
