    Congratulations to the newly elected School Council members for 2018/19.

    After some very persuading manifestos presented to the P4-7 classes, there followed two weeks of hard hitting campaigns for the proposed members of the School Council for this year. We are very proud of everyone who took the time and effort to take part in the election process. The newly elected members were presented with their badges and certificates in Assembly.

  • P6 Buoyed Up Programme

    The P6 class and an amazing week at Ballyholme Yacht Club with The Buoyed Up Programme. They were out on (and in!) the water every day learning sailing skills and cooperation skills in a fun and engaging way!

    The P6 class have just finished a fabulous week at Ballyholme Yacht Club with The Buoyed Up Programme. They have had so much fun learning new skills, both in and out of the water. Teamwork has been of paramount importance, along with building resilience and having fun!! Grateful thanks goes to Mr Hall for organising this event and to all the staff at Ballyholme Yacht Club for their endless patience and expertise. A lifelong learning experience and more wonderful memories!
  • Fairytale Banquet

    The P2 class had a fabulous Fairytale Banquet with the P2 children of Crawfordsburn Primary! Great fun was had playing together, both indoors and outdoors, as a collaborative WAU topic. With a feast of delicious food on offer as well as a host of fun and engaging activities, it certainly was a day to remember. Our grateful thanks to all the staff who put in so much time and effort, and to the children who were so warm and friendly. Another memory to cherish 😍

    Well done to the 4 newly elected School Council members who received their School Council badges from the Speaker of the House Mr Robin Newton MLA at Parliament Buildings Stormont on Friday 30th September. From P6, Amy Smith and Summer McDowell, and from P7 Sophie Lamb and Demmi Wood. 
  • Hansel and Gretel

    A huge congratulations to all the boys and girls who took part in our production of Hansel and Gretel. The show was amazing! The talent on display was super and the hard work of the staff involved was clearly evident. A big thank you has to go out to all the parents for supporting the school this year! Thank you also to our special guests over the 2 nights who came along to enjoy the show - Kilcooley PS Board of Governors, Mr Matthew Pitts from Bangor Academy and Mr Peter Weir, Education Minister.

     

     

     

  • The school football team meet Michael O'Neil!

    Well done to the football team who played in the Priory College Challenge Cup on Friday. A special mention goes to Mason. He is only in P5 but captained the team, displaying a fantastic attitude throughout. Also a special mention to Jaiden, who is only in P4 and scored a goal to win 2-1 in our final match against Knocknagoney. Meeting Michael O'Neil was a great bonus for us all too!

  • First Minister visit to Kilcooley PS

    The First Minister Arlene Foster will be visiting the school to look at the work happening in conjunction with the school and Kilcooley Women's Centre.
  • Kilcooley goes fully interactive!!

    This week sees the final installment of all our new ICT equipment. The last remaining classrooms are having their interactive whiteboards put in this week. This will be a great teaching and learning tool throughout the school, from Nursery right up to P7, and also the Nurture Group setting.
  • Dance success for 2 pupils!

    Well done to Rihanna Lilley and Steven Boyd (P1) from the La Chance De Danser Dance Group, Tiny dancers, who won many trophies at the recent Spectrum Competition. The group came 4th out of 12, with Steven achieving 2nd in the solo section and Rihanna 5th!!! What a great achievement for the two young, aspiring dancers! Watch out for update on Thomas Lilley who competes tomorrow in Dublin with Twist and Pulse Dance group. We wish him the greatest luck!!
