SCC1 has 8 children from P2-P4. Miss Burch is the class teacher. Miss Morgan and Mr Connery are the classroom assistants. 

In SCC1 we have been learning about Colour! We have been learning about colour theory and we know how to mix colours together to create new colours! We have looked at different artists and even had a go at recreating their artwork! We have been working on recognising emotions with the help of the book ‘The Colour Monster’. We are very good at identifying our emotions and also helping others. We ended our topic with a sponsored Colour Run to raise money for our new outdoor play space! 

We have started our new topic Nocturnal Animals! We have been learning about bats and owls and how they have adapted to hunt at night. We are looking forward to what we are going to learn next! 

We love learning outside. Every other Monday we do gardening with Mr Rainey and we have learnt so much about seeds and planting. We enjoy Forest School lessons in the class garden and also in Kilcooley Woods. We are so lucky to have such amazing outside spaces to explore and run around! 

We enjoy a range of movement breaks and sensory break including: music and movement, yoga, Nurture in 5, exploring the lights in the sensory room, enjoying our calm corner, sensory circuits in PE, Bucket Time and Lego Therapy.
