Welcome to SLD2!
Our learners have a variety of additional learning, sensory, behavioural and communication needs which are met each day with their personalised learning activities and play opportunities. In our classroom we focus on supporting each child to feel safe and welcomed within their learning environment in order to thrive. Pupils access group activities each day which focus on developing their functional communication skills and ongoing cognitive targets. We follow a consistent daily routine which allows the children to access their different learning opportunities in a familiar and calming environment. Pupils benefit from regular Attention Autism sessions each week alongside a variety of extracurricular activities focused around our monthly learning themes. All of our pupils have made wonderful progress since the start of the school year, and we look forward to seeing how they all grow and excel in their new setting!
